Wellbeing & Pastoral Care

Nurturing Every Child’s Growth and Development

At King’s College School Chamartín, we are dedicated to ensuring every child feels safe, welcomed, and empowered to achieve their personal best. From the youngest learners in our Early Years Department to older children in Key Stage 1, we take great care to foster a positive learning environment where respect for others is a cornerstone of daily life.

For our youngest learners, the class teacher and learning assistant are always ready to provide individualised support alongside their teaching, ensuring that children have a trusted and approachable point of contact. From day one, we focus on creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels free to express themselves and explore new opportunities.

Supporting Children to Thrive

We believe that happy children flourish, which is why we prioritise their enjoyment of learning and support them in overcoming any challenges they may face. Our Learning Support and Wellbeing Teams work proactively to meet the unique needs of every pupil, offering tailored support through the curriculum, assemblies, and, where needed, individualised guidance to address emotional or social challenges. Beyond their class teachers, pupils have access to a student guidance department, psychological support, and Speech and Language services.

To ensure our approach is as nurturing as it is effective, we place great value on building strong relationships with parents. Collaboration between school and family is central to our philosophy, and we actively encourage open communication to involve parents fully in their child’s educational journey. Together, we create a close-knit school community where every child feels confident, supported, and ready to reach their full potential.
